Excellent Follow up!! I loved the characters! Madison is sweet, yet snarky and strong. Hunter is sexy, yet kind and generous. I really enjoy the banter between Hunter, Beau and their coworkers!! In book one, I envisioned Hunter mixing it up with Ashley, but so glad it was Madison!! They are perfect together!!We meet Madison in book one. She has come up on some pretty hard times. In the process of leaving her deadbeat baby daddy, she finds herself in labor on the side of the road. In swoops gorgeous paramedic, Hunter Knox. Hunter successfully delivers baby Joy, and in true "hero" fashion, saves the day. But after leaving them at the hospital, he's having trouble getting the beautiful girls off his mind. By the time he returns to check on them, they're already gone. It's for the best though, because Hunter has plans, and distractions are the last thing he needs.
Madison is determined to get her life on track, stand on her own two feet and take care of her daughter. Being a new, single mom proves to be a little more difficult then anticipated. Again, she finds herself in the hospital due to exhaustion and dehydration. When her handsome hero shows up at the hospital, he offers to help her get back on her feet. Can she swallow her pride and accept the help Hunter is offering?
Hunter is once again on the track to med school. After having to drop out years ago, nothing is going to stand in his way. When he finds out the woman who's baby he delivered is back in the hospital, he can't resist the pull to visit her. He just needs to make sure they're ok so he can move on and not worry. When he realizes things aren't going so great for Madison, he takes matters into his own hands. He can't just walk away and leave these girls to fend for themselves. It's only temporary anyway. He'll help them out until Madison is able to go back to work and get her own place, then he can focus on the most important thing... School.
It's pride vs. hero complex... Can either of them win? “Gotta have faith in happy endings. Otherwise, what’s the point?”
I'm hoping Sinclair and her mystery man are next, but wouldn't mind it if some hot, alpha comes along and put Ashley through her paces!!

From the reviews that this book received three and four stars I took a chance or reading it oops BIG mistake. This book was too long and ridiculous first of all who tells a stranger all of their business (when Madison meets Ashley) second of all who gets in their car and drives away from the person that they say they love and does not know if he's dead or alive( Knox fighting off Madison's attacker) who does that? when she should have and could have ran in the building to get him some help, Oh that's right he said he had a gun but she never saw it and he never used it. I really don't need a 3rd reason why I did not like this book but I will give one anyway and here it is why would Ashley turn around and give Knox a recommendation letter when she felt like he had not changed from the reasons that she would not write the recommendation letter in the first place for him (Ashley seeing Knox and Madison looking at apartments). This book was TRASH!!!!!
Paramedic Hunter has goals he must reach! When he was a teenager starting out college these goals were derailed by something he had no control over. Since then he has become a bang up Paramedic that people love and trust. He has filled out all the paperwork and told everyone he is going to Medical School, nothing can stop him now.
Madison is a screw up, she can’t seem to get anything right since her grandmothers death. She thinks she is on the right track when she gets the nerve up to leave her drug addicted boyfriend. She has arraigned for a job transfer and knows she has enough time to get money together before her baby is born to get a new apartment. All is going according to plan until… She goes into labor after an accident.
Not only is this were our two characters meet but it’s where the story really takes off running. How many of us have had times in our lives when NOTHING seems to be going according to plan? I know I have. Madison has an avalanche of events that collide and really make her only see the bad. Something about her draws Hunter in, he just can’t walk away until he knows she and her baby are alright. This leads him to invite Madison into his home and life, He is still thinking nothing will change. His idea is to help her until she can get her own place than he can start medical school just like planed.
Life is not always neat and tidy, and it rarely goes as planed. Hunter and Madison begin fast and become close, but someone or something is not wanting them to stay together. They are pulled apart and Hunter believes his dreams are gone forever, love and his second shot at medical school. They both have to figure out what is most important before it’s too late. Come meet Hunter and Madison in the second book of Samanthe Beck’s Love Emergency series. Bonus Beau and Savannah and a few others from Emergency Engagement make appearances in this one!
Samanthe Beck is honestly one of my favorite authors so I had high expectations for the release of this book. I loved the first novel in this series and fell in love with Hunter the second he was introduced. While you don’t need to read Emergency Engagement, which is the first novel, it is worth it. I originally didn’t expect Madison to be Hunter’s love interest but she was perfect. Madison and her new little girl gave Hunter purpose. The connection between all of them is inspiring. I love this novel and series so much! I so hope there is more to come. This novel gave me all sorts of emotions while reading it and I loved every minute of it! Definitely a 5 star read! I would give more stars but I can’t! (
